But Rihanna DID get appointed Ambassador for Culture and Youth in Barbados

In January 2008 the starlet was given the honour by the Prime Minister himself Mr David Thompson.

The Prime Minister felt that given her HUGE success (especially with the new album Good Girl Gone Bad) Rihanna should be formally acknowledged as great role model for Bajan people!

The Ambassador honour was given to Rihanna in a tribute concert which she attended with hunky “best friend” Chris Brown.

Upon hearing the news the beauty said, ‘I really don’t know what to say. I am so grateful and I have never been more proud to be Bajan.’

Rihanna also got given a LAND ROVER and a DIAMOND BRACELET by the event sponsors!

Plus since it was her upcoming 20th birthday she got a GIANT birthday cake
